Risks, Limitations and Assumptions
- The integration can handle Critical/Recovery failure notifications for below 2 cases when user enables App Failure Notifications in configuration
- Connectivity Exception
- Authentication Exception
- The integration will send duplicate/repeat failure alert notifications for every 6 hours.
- The integration cannot control monitoring pause/resume actions based on above alerts Metrics can be used to monitor Weka resources and can generate alerts based on the threshold values.
- OpsRamp has provided 14000 as default Port value for processing Weka Rest APIs. Users can modify this value from application configuration page at any point of time if requires.
- The minimum supported version for the option to get the latest snapshot metric is nextgen-14.0.0.
- Full discovery support requires gateway version 15.0.0 or above.
- This integration is not compatible with Cluster Gateway.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure all the prerequisites are met
- When Weka integration fails to Discover / Monitor, please do below troubleshooting steps
- Check if any alerts generated on Weka Cluster or on the gateway or any error logs in vprobe.
- To rule out API accessibility or specific failures like end device connectivity or authentication, try to check the reachability of end device from gateway using below commands
- try ping with IP Address provided in configuration ping
- try telnet using telnet
- If still need assistance, reach out to the support Team to check API accessibility using SDK App Debug Command Center (depends on gateway version 18 and app support) OR DiscoveryandMonitoring-TargetAPIResponses
- try ping with IP Address provided in configuration ping
- To get API Responses for each Native Type. select Execute command against configuration and then select the command Get Target Response . Now you can select Native types and then click on execute command, you will get all the apis and its response for the selected native type.
