This section details the various actions you can perform on a Service Map node. They allow you to quickly locate a node in the hierarchy and assess its impact on the entire Service Map.

View Nodes Based on Status

You can view the status (Down, Up, or Degraded) of a node in a Service Map by using the Node Status option available in the top right corner of the screen. To view nodes based on status:

  1. Open the Service Map for which you wish to view the node status.
  2. Click the gear icon in the top left corner and select from Down, Up, or Degraded options.
As per the status, the respective nodes will be highlighted.

View Path to Root Node

You can view the connection path from any node to its root node. This provides you a quick access to root node, no matter how big the node hierarchy. You can view the root node from any node as follows:

  1. Open the Service Map for which you wish to view the node connections.
  2. Click a node.
You will see a dotted line connecting that node to its parent node.

Expand/Collapse Node Hierarchy

You can view the nodes associated with another node by expanding and collapsing the node hierarchy as follows:

  1. Open the Service Map for which you wish to view the node hierarchy.
  2. Double-click a node to expand the hierarchy and view the associated resources nodes.
The hierarchy will expand to show the nodes. Similarly, double-click a node to collapse the hierarchy. The GIF below shows how to expand/collapse the nodes.
