To manage resources, discover and gather information about all of your resources using the agent or gateway data collectors installed on your system. First, create an agent management profile:
Go to Setup > Resources > Management Profiles.
Click + Add.
Enter the following information:
Client Name: Name of the Client.
Profile Type: Specifies whether the profile is created for agent or gateway.
If the profile type is Agent, enter:
- Device Type: Select the Device Type from the drop-down list.
- Device: Select the Device from the drop-down list.
Profile Name: Give a name to the profile being created. The naming convention typically should match the Device Type.
Description: Optional description in brief about the profile being created.

- Click Submit.
The VIEW MANAGEMENT PROFILE page displays the agent management profile information. Click Edit to make changes to the management profile.
Historically, the agent management profile was referred to as the master agent. The use of a master agent is not recommended.
