You can now save your network topology map changes as a saved view so that you can quickly return to it later in an easy-to-navigate UI. The Saved Views make it easier for you to switch between different views and you can access them from the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the network topology explorer page.

To save a view:

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Network Topology.

  2. Select device from the drop-down list.
    The topology explorer is displayed with the base resource you selected and its neighbours including the connections, based on the Depth level.

  3. Make changes to the map as per your requirements.

  4. Click hamburger menu on the upper left corner of the explorer page.

  5. Click + icon.

  6. Provide a name for the view and click ADD.
    The view is now saved and can be viewed under saved views.

You can perform various actions with a saved view. Select a saved view and click the three dots adjacent to the view.

CopyYou can make a copy of the selected view.
Set FavoriteSelect a view and make the view as favorite.
Set Default ViewThe selected view can be made as default view. The default view is displayed when you access the network topology explorer.
ShareShare the saved view to the users with partner and client role permissions.
RemoveRemove the saved view from the list.

Share Views

You can share the saved views to the roles that have view or manage permissions. A partner can share a dashboard with another partner and client users that have roles assigned to them.

Set Permissions

You need to enable the View or Manage permission for the partners and the client users from: Setup > Permission Sets.

Create a role with partner or client scope from Setup > Roles.

To share a view:

  1. Navigate to Infrastructure > Network Topology.

  2. Select device from the drop-down list.
    The topology explorer is displayed with the base resource you selected and its neighbours including the connections, based on the Depth level.

  3. Make changes to the map as per your requirements.

  4. Click hamburger menu on the upper left corner of the explorer page.

  5. Select a saved view from the list and click the three dots adjacent to the view.

  6. Click Share.
    The Share View page is displayed.

  7. Select a role or roles that have been assigned to partner users:

    • If you select a partner role, only partner users that have been assigned the role can view the network topology view.
    • If you select a client role, only client users under that role can view the network topology view.
  8. Click Share.
    The view is shared with the selected users.
